The International Ballet Concert The Great Ballet Century wants to honor the most outstanding choreographers, the cornerstones of Latvian ballet growth, which have made it the brightest and most powerful quality. The contribution of Latvian ballet masters to the development of Latvian culture has been evaluated and the most outstanding ballet personalities have been recorded in the Latvian Culture Canon.
With the motto "I do not want to go away from my roots, so hard to force my tomorrow", the concert will bring together Latvian National Ballet soloists and artists, as well as the three Baltic ballet schools - Tallinn Ballet School, Lithuanian National MK Čurlionis Art School and the talented students of Riga Choreography High School. . In their performance, the choreographies of the old Latvian masters from the last century, as well as the original works of the ballet masters created in the 21st century (Osvaldas Lemman, Helena Tangijev-Birzniece, Yevgeny Chang, Alexander Lembergs, Irena Strodes, Janina Pancras, Jura Kaprat, Tamar Wittan, Valentine Choreographies by Blinov, Aivars Leimann, Litas Beiris, Regina Kaupuz, Olga Zhitluhin, Als Leimane, Milan Komarov and Anton Freiman.
